Richard Patterson - Meadowsong
Richard Patterson (*1952) composed his
Meadowsong in 1984. The piece begins with a solo guitar:, an iridescent,
sound space similar to the harp is created by using interweaving
sounding chords, that give the impression of a wide meadow landscape.
At the entry of the flute it initially nestles up to the guitar,
but in the following sections it emancipates itself more and more
over the constant pattern of the guitar to successively acquire
its on melodic outline..(..)
The following example is an mp3 that is coded with a 128Kdps transfer rate.
